Obituary for Logan Hugh Kammerer

Logan Hugh Kammerer was born on Monday, May 14, 2018 to Bill and Meghan (née Garchinsky) in Newark, Delaware. Logan's first name was picked out by his big brother, Grayson, and his middle name was chosen to honor his beloved Grand-dad. Logan was a joyful, healthy, baby boy, just two weeks shy of his first birthday when he left us suddenly and unexpectedly on May 1, 2019.

Logan will forever be remembered by his Mommy and Daddy as their Logie Bear; their sweet, gentle baby; their happy little guy. Though he had two fingers in his mouth much of the time, he'd warm anyone’s heart with the simple stroke of his cheek. He was completely fascinated by his brother Grayson's every move, and would go into belly laughs at the sight of him running around naked after a bath, or would bop and shriek with pure joy as Grayson showed Logan how to dance. Logan loved his outside time, especially walks to the park in his stroller with the wind kissing his face. He had a little mischief in him too, throwing his toys out of the tub, stealing cell phones, and turning off the TV (unless Bubbleguppies was on). He loved hearing his voice amplified over his KidiJamz studio microphone, but, like most things, it was way more fun with his BFF and cousin, Emmy by his side.

Logan Hugh will be missed tremendously by his big, loving family. Maternal grandparents, Christine and Hugh Garchinsky of Lincoln University; paternal grandfather, Joseph Kammerer (Charlene) of Aston; maternal grandmother, Kathleen Ferrell (Robert) of West Deptford; and his many aunts, uncles, and cousins, Catherine Garchinsky (Brian) of Newtown Square; Maureen Garchinsky (Michael, Tyler, Chase) of West Chester; Claire Vincent (Michael, Gavin) of Wilmington; Andrew Garchinsky of Wilmington; Ryan Garchinsky (Sarah, Emery) of Newark; Joseph Kammerer (Dawn, Landon, Sophie, Marissa) of Manheim; Robert Ferrell (Renée) of West Deptford; Kymberly Ferrell (John) of Swedesboro; Christopher D’Angelo (Ania) of Aston; Charles Kammerer of Pittsburgh, along with countless family friends, grand aunts and uncles.

Friends and family are invited to honor Logan’s joyful life on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Assumption BVM Church, 300 Start Road West Grove, PA 19390 at 12 noon. A visitation will be held at the church from 10:30 to 11:45. Interment will be private.

The Kammerer Family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the AGCS Logan Hugh Memorial Fund online(http://funds.agcharter.org/Donation-AGCS-Logan-Hugh-Memorial-Fund.html) or checks (payable to AGCS) can be sent to the school in an envelope marked “The AGCS Memorial Fund.”
